Not every episode was amazing, but the ones that were good, were absolutely good. Very beautiful writing, you forget this is a T.V. show. I particularly like meandering stories, so I can understand the frustration some viewers have with non-linear story telling, but I absolutely loved how just about every episode had it's own structure, and a couple of stand alone episodes that could have been their own movie. I loved the episode with James Baldwin, the documentary, and Babe's vision of death. This is rich television. Well written, and visually stunning. I think haters just hate anything Ryan Murphy has his hand in. This show was a lot more touching than the previous FEUD. Although very fictionalized, it felt true to the people in which this story was based.

This was quite the production, but I wished they mad spread it out 2 or 3 more episodes. For all the time and money spent, it felt a little rushed through. I was a little lost by Lord Merlin as a character, why is he so enchanted with Linda. Andrew Scott is incredible...why did they not give him some more background, so we understand his connection and love for Linda. He's just there to save her, and we don't see why he cares about her. They don't really show Fanny's relationship with her husband besides seeing him play puzzles, we almost don't see any part of Tony and Linda's marriage, besides 2 scenes where they eat. A lot of lovely characters in here that you don't really get to know. I also wished they showed Linda's death! it was a little anti-climatic, her whole life and then you just see the aftermath of her death.
