A film that tries really hard to be artistic, but never tells a story. It’s all over the place with the storylines. It’s visually interesting, which is the best thing I can say about it.

I wanted to love John Wick 4, but I didn’t. There were some fantastic fight scenes, as always, however, they each stretched several minutes past being really interesting and cool to beating a dead horse. These films have always required the suspension of disbelief, but went over the top in fall from great height survivals this time. Additionally, they lost the plot. The original goal for our protagonist got completely lost. I believe they decided to change his goal so they could keep the franchise going in some form. They make John the least interesting character in the movie.

Action packed, well acted. At only 1 hour 33 minutes, there was room for just a bit more character and emotional development. I really appreciated the strong example of true masculinity, using his strength and skills for compassion, protection and provision.

I don’t need every movie to have a deep message. This one doesn’t. But I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. It is a comedic take on the action that doesn’t take itself any more seriously than it deserves, which is refreshing.

Lame, cliched after school special level film. Bad writing, bad acting
