The concept is 'borrowed' and 'inspired' from numerous Hollywood action flicks from the past. The 'Next Three Days' come to mind, so does 'Bangkok Hilton'. Nothing original about the concept - just a shoddy remake and remix of the much repeated 'jailbreak' genre. Only here, the actual jailbreak occupies just 5% of the movie. The remaining 95% focuses on the Dharma prodigy, Alia Bhatt who hogs the entire limelight of the movie without doing much really. Not sure if she or RK even produced the project or not. but that's how it looked.
The basic problem with our so called 'Bollywood' is - they have celebrated mediocrity for so long, that they have forgotten what is good cinema. They think you serve up anything and audience will just lap it up. Just take a look at the AI generated, paid 4+ reviews on Google and other pages, they all read the same, have same keywords, etc.
