Deliciously awful! Went in expecting it to be over the top and campy with a great message delivered in the most obvious and cliché way, and got exactly what I expected. There were some truly touching scenes, as well as some massive eye rolls (who knew all it took was a song to fix homophobia?). I was genuinely moved by James Corden's performance when his character confronted his painful past. I laughed and cried on cue, fully aware that my emotions were being manipulated to the fullest extent.
