Let me give a fair and square review.
If you're atheist or agnostics or just simply liberal. You will be fucking hate the movie. I can bet 1000% you will. You'll rate it with 1 star because you can't give it 0 star if you want to review it. You hate it because the movie force you to accept a conclusion that against your will.
On the other hand, if you're just an average muslim, you might want to give it 5 stars cause it confirmed with everything that you've been made to believe and you might feel certain level of fulfillment for watching this movie.
As for me,
it's 5 stars for the philosophical and provocative questions.
it's 5 stars for the acting.
it's 4 stars for the plot.
But,
it's 2 stars for what the director try to portray how the believers that found evidence of the grave torture at the beginning of the movie will react. (Could be director was trying to portray the possible reality if this really happen in his country. Then, that's make sense)
But, muslim haters might want to use this single act as a point to blame religion as the cause of terrorism when NOT UNDERSTANDING the religion was actually the culprit. Becoming a suicide bomber is surely contradicting with any rational believers who believe in grave torture and instead of doing good deeds, he made worst deed anybody can ever imagine. First, suicide is already the major sin in Islam, then killing innocent is another major sin. Committing multiple major sins before you die to avoid grave torture was beyond stupidity. And this was the weakest part in this movie which could have been done better.
Btw, I still enjoy the movie.
