The game itself to me though entertaining, wasn't exactly a groundbreaking idea no one has ever tried to execute in media (well ehem, of course twisted children's game is a unique premise in the first place, just saying not the first time i have encountered them).
However, what REALLY stood out to me though is the added realism to the fictional premise. A generous dose of problems irl and boom, that makes me question about morals and humanity. That added the SPICE imo. The motivation behind the characters' actions in this film was told excellently, that throughout the episodes, i felt sympathy and connected to the characters. The games could have felt fictional due to the extremities, but that touch of realism makes this a brilliant piece. I don't have to dumb down to watch this (unlike certain shows where the characters got potrayed a bit too unrealistic).
My only complaint would be that i wish the front man and detective's arc was more fleshed out. That was a missed opportunity imo. Maybe there will be a 2nd season? Anyway, i really enjoy them. Kudos to the director, casts and staffs!
