First Take is best when that gasbag, Stephen A. Smith, isn't there. Otherwise, viewers must endure his smug, nasty and disrespectful demeanor vis a vis the other panelists, most of whom have actually played a professional sport. He even treats the female moderators this way. And when he's not yelling and screaming, he's either making bored facial gestures while others are opining, or admiring himself on the monitor. All this from an "expert" sports commentator, who couldn't even throw a baseball 45 feet in the air and looked like a 5 year old trying to do so. The only thing SAS has been very quiet about is his "book". Guess it hasn't sold all ten copies yet? And ESPN is soliciting viewers to pay a premium for "MORE STEPHEN A."?

Lately, Kornheiser has taken to putting one of the sidearms of his glasses up to his mouth when Wilbon is talking. Apparently, he thinks it makes him look "thoughtful". It doesn't-just an obvious affectation . Unsanitaryi, too.
