A shallow attempt at “meaning,” grafted onto an incoherent plot points. If it was in service of anything beyond the most basic of metaphors, I might see something of value in it. Instead, I found nothing but shock value masquerading as sophistication.

Sweet, sincere, well acted. The kind of movie that reaffirms your faith in people.

Slow, uninvolving, unconvincing. Both Swintons act well, but that’s the only redeeming quality I found.

Thrilling, well paced, character driven disaster movie fare. Highly enjoyable.
