The idea was good but then I was waiting for the part where he would feel bad about his actions towards everyone on the first part of the movie. Examples are him being a rude friend, prideful pet, flirt, and very self entitled. Never even heard him say thank you or sorry. Moreover, the supporting characters tolerated his horrid actions. The female dog is a gold digger. She shows interest after knowing Rex is really the queen's dog. The movie just gets disappointing as it goes. They even made Charlie super evil which I hate. This could have been waaaaay better. Generally, it screams that it is ok to commit horrid intentions and actions then get away with it.
