I'd probably give the film 2.5 stars. It's odd. I kind of enjoyed it, but there was also a lot of the film that didn't work for me. The mum, Podcast (I mean, WTAF?!) and, well.......all of the characters didn't work for me, but I still enjoyed it somehow despite the laughs falling flat on their face. I think I really just wanted the magic of the first one over again, which was never going to happen really. This film made me appreciate the genius of the original, fundamentally. The charisma and humour of Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Rick Moranis is magic. The characters of Slimer & the Staypuft Marshmallow man are valuable support. But this film has none of that IMO. I think this film was a missed opportunity but at the same time it's not terrible. It was okay...but then remakes are usually dodgy..
