A beautifully scripted movie! I watched it recently after 20 years since the movie released. A lapse of two decades hasn’t really made the movie quality debased or curbed which is a real testimony to the fact that the movie has really stood the test of time. The setting is superb, the climax is unbeatable and Kidman has handled her role so meticulously as always. The entire movie runs with her expressions. There are no specific jump scares employed and there are no funny ghosts within the movie. The entire mood of the movie has been designed through the character roles and it’s a must watch beautiful movie. The aesthetic experience you derive out of this movie is unfathomable. It doesn’t make you jump from your couch, but it injects the creepy ambience slowly through your veins. And such spookiness is what makes this movie watchable even after two decades of its release. 👍👍
