Ian Bechtel

A complete wreck. The art direction appears good at first, but ultimately falls entirely flat. None of the side characters matter, and the two who try to have any sort of meaningful subplot just end up feeling uninteresting and forced. The protagonist is blander cardboard than most waifu bait, and the waifu bait is horribly mishandled. The story's pacing is all over the place and executes "cool scenes" without having earned them. After the halfway point everything falls apart much faster than one might expect and the final episodes are a big joke. Oh, and the whole show's imagery rides on the idea of prepubescent children having sex to pilot robots.
