I decided to watch the movie because of the two young lead actors, without knowing what was in store for me. Honestly, I'm surprised that in this century, there are movies as mindless and meaningless as Exhuma. Typical horror movie stuff like darkness, shadows, ghosts, centuries-old corpse ... God, that was something I didnt anticipate. But then, its my fault that i didnt check on the theme, director, production company.... My question is, why would the top actors accept a movie lije this.

Beautiful and with substance. Just finished watching Dear Hyrie. That was a breath of fresh air after treacly sweet kdramas, end to end encrypted with the mandatory formula. Watched the 8 episodes in two days and sat there with overwhelming emotions. The lack of formula and an open-end-last-episode were quite beautiful. Her wonderfully soft voice, his disappointment, the other one's optimism and the reality of the story - all are fascinatingly controlled by the director and the script writer. I needed this after so many kdramas with mind numbing cliché, and actors depicting the same characters, spewing same dialogues and finally, having the same ending.

The missing star is because of the elusive ending. Exceptional acting, direction and BMG. However, the ending was deliberately obscured, to please both the logical ones who wanted a scientific explanation and the illogical group who preferred a supernatural ending. And surprisingly, both were put in a single bag by the story teller, allowing each audience to pick what they wanted. Clever. But for me, that part was shoddy and irresponsible on the part of the writer. Camera work, dialogues, control over the scenes etc made it a cut above the commercial movies. But the last few minutes were a let down.

Nothing special about it. Another action series with double crossing people, people with killer addiction, unbelievable techno-overload, a boy who looks 14 ( I couldn't believe he was 28!!), a girl who can fight like, think like a veteran gang member, an uncle who is the main character of the series, but dies in the first episode and much more things you don't see in real life - at least not in the life of ordinary people like me. There is another season coming, of 8 episodes. Like The Glory, this also can't stand alone without answering all our questions. Why does Lee Dong Wook look this bad? Make up? Or no make up? He must be disappointed with all the glory going to his subordinates and his niece.

Finished watching the most anticipated final episode of Queen of mask last night, and boy, was I for a surprise!!!! Not because anything unexpected happened, but the lack lustre way it happened. The quick pace and crisp direction we saw in the previous episodes were completely gone in the final one, and I gaped at the screen in disbelief. It looked like a chick flick put together by an amateur director who had no idea what he was doing. The surprises didn't last even for five minutes, before it was exposed, the villain looked as if he had an inflexible mask over his face, and the soap opera elements were miserably misplaced. I AM UNRECOVERABLY DISAPPOINTED!!!
