This show to me is about betrayal which got old real quick. I understand the dad feeling betrayed & wanting his job back. That's his identity & what he worked years for. What I don't like is Sam being written as the hero who can do no wrong. She enlists the help of a colleague only to stab her in the back after agreeing to the terms. Then mom & dad are hiding a secret that's not that huge of a deal but here's Sam to save the day again. Her boyfriend has no legitimate reason to dump her, then she falls back with her ex who she knows is in love with her, she claims she's casual so basically using him. Her other ex is now acting like a lovesick puppy behind her. She steals her dad's idea for a technique then refuses to give him credit. I liked the dad with his girlfriend but they blew that up along with her mom's marriage. & that 1st colleague gets screwed over again. If there is anything you enjoy about the show it will be ruined in 1-2 episodes. But Sam will somehow be the hero & justified in everything she does. It's a show about 1 family & how they can get ahead at the expense of others or themselvesnot a medical show. I stuck it out for the season & deleted it off my dvr after season finale. I like the other characters but can't stand Sam or her mother which requires fast-forwarding 90% of the show.

Well, I didn't hate it as much as others but did find it to be all over the place. I didn't understand why Nimue had the ability to destroy or kill or even feed people yet didn't. Or why she felt she needed the sword to do it when in the beginning of the movie and her childhood she didn't. And I get persecution but did so many of the introduced characters have to die whereas some of the bad ones were allowed to get away and survive. You think Merlin would have made sure that girl died. Pym's guy? I just think Nimue could have been written as a more effective leader and saviour. That turned me off. I'm glad I was able to fast forward a lot of it.
