Post Season 3 edit: The best TV series ever made. No contest. The essence of love, of life, of pain, consequence and chaos, of tied fate, and of non-existence combined with time travel and parallel worlds in such a layered and rich story offers a mind-bending thrill. Add to that the incredibly powerful tale (and acting) of Jonas and Martha. The story alone takes the cake. So much depth and richness. The cinematography, screenplay, editing, and the soundtrack. Seriously, the soundtrack is amazing. More so in the first 2 seasons. There is absolutely no series that makes it even close to Dark, and I've watched a good load of them. I've got goosebumps just reminiscing the scenes to the sound of its score. + The story is so so perfect, it's ridiculous. There is no mistake. Till the end. the creators do not unravel the story till the end. There is just too much immersion in the story. Dark will have you upright in the middle of the night - thinking about the characters, their predicaments and the essence of time. The acting! Sheer brilliance. I wish I could rewatch this series for the first time again. What a show! Season 3 seems much more complicated at the start offering a perspective of things to come, things in motion, and events of the past - tying it up beautifully at the end. This series cannot be rated on a conventional scale. It scores better than all the artistic creations of great directors in the past. No Nolan, Kubrick, Scorsese, or other sorts could surpass this entire package of god-level brilliance that Dark has. PS: Watch the show in German. It is more authentic. Baran Bo Odar and Janje Friese are sheer geniuses. Would totally recommend. 10/10.
