Highly inspirational film about the passion, in multiple forms, behind the scenes that shaped the "March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom" on August 28, 1963. According to this movie, this was the largest such gathering of its type in U.S. history. Barak and Michelle Obama are credited as executive producers. Martin Luther King's delivery of his oratory masterpiece, "I Have a Dream" owes it place in history to those portrayed in this film, and to the hundreds of thousands there in person and to all the rest of us who are keenly aware of the messages in that dream. This is a measure of how far we have progressed as a civil society and how far we need to advance as an uncivil society.

A forlorn comedic look at a hapless Calabrese who thoroughly lives in a most unfortunate and confusing time of Italian history when tearing off the bandages of fascism, royalty, communism, and voracious capitalism. Hard to fathom and bereft of joy. So furthest from Hollywood fare as I can imagine.

I rarely feel touched by a movie, so I did not expect the feeling this story delivered. The critics who didn't appreciate this movie seem bitter and cynical to me. I suggest viewers suspend the judgment and hope for the best.

Anyone who votes higher than a 1 or maybe 2 was asleep, which is what I wanted to do, but my daughter kept jabbing me. It was forgettable.

Very watchable. I think the Koreans have an appetite for the implausible absurd, totally unlike Americans. Right? But that made me wonder about my own twisted sense of whatever it is I felt about the film. Words fail. Thoughts fail. The flood scene was far too realistic. Min would be proud of his disciple, except for the promise thing.

It sounds like more fiction than I need at this time . I will probably pull up some Beatles tunes on Spotify and see if I can program those in Chron order.

I got a word of mouth recommendation: "Best 'feel good' movie I've seen in long time." I'm not used to seeing "feel good" movies, so I bit. I took the family. Then I gave tickets to my older daughter and her boyfriend. Totally worth it for them to make this. They started this film project 30 years ago. Still timely. All the stars you got!!!!

Good to show us that we have failed at the business of being a leader in the world by selecting inept and corrupt leaders. Bush and Cheney belong on a reject list. The film shows what we need to improve, accidentally.
