A masterpiece. Rustic setting, not too much dialogue, an understanding husband in Swanand, and two champion actors in Shefali and Jaideep. Tremendous finesse by the director for stitching a beautiful love story that is subtle and superfluous yet beautiful and serene so much so that Swanand Kirkire the loving husband, ignores the vibes despite understanding the undercurrents. These are movies that should represent India at international award ceremonies. If you love serious cinema coupled with a brilliant story and outstanding acting, this is it… Three of Us.

Watched this movie after 7 years of its release and ever so glad I did. Persons with special needs are often looked down upon or subjected to ridicule in India mainly due to lack of awareness. This film touches all the right chords. It’s story is wonderfully woven and has elements of sadness, happiness and anger infused brilliantly. This is a must watch movie especially to raise awareness about Downs Syndrome, ADHD, cerebral palsy, etc.. It is a humongous task for parents to raise children with special needs more because of the public scorn and humiliation they are subject to. This movie is highly recommended for the Indian audience. Kudos to the characters and the director for making my day with this movie.

A wonderfully scripted tragedy film with a powerful script, good music and superlative performance by Sushant, Sanjana and the rest. The basic premise of this film is cancer patients dealing with life in general and Manny inspired Kizzie despite being a patient himself. It is heart wrenching to watch Manny die in the film and somehow made me sadder thinking about Sushant’s untimely death. Rest in Peace Sushant. If you’re the emotional types, be prepared to watch this movie with a box of tissues. Highly recommend this movie. Well done team!!!

I’m awestruck with the storyline, the characterisation, the performance and the perfect flow of this magnificent film. This is cinema that folks like me long for. Alternate cinema Is here to stay... this one wasn’t any different as it touched my soul. Powerful performance by all the main characters. Beautiful story telling. Such directors and such cinema should get constant encouragement. Absolute must watch. I want to pay and watch such movies. Watching it on streaming media is such a shame. Kudos to the cast and crew for a classic. I slept well at night after watching this. The soul was definitely pleased. Cheers!

Brilliant script and powerful message. This movie is serious cinema. It sends out a strong message to all men that any form of abuse be it physical or mental towards women is simply not acceptable. It’s strange that our society expects women to compromise or move on forgetting that the abuse was just a one off occurrence. Unfortunately, for centuries women have been subjected to marital torture and few men think that it’s masculine. This movie revolves around a single incident where the husband slaps his wife who tries to pull him out of an altercation he was having with a colleague. That one slap determined the course of action for the movie. There were two things that Tapsee’s character wanted: respect and happiness and she wouldn’t compromise that for anything, so much so, that she filed for divorce. Every lady character in the movie had a story to tell. Absolutely mesmerised with the way the director has inter-woven these stories around similar themes. Powerful, hard-hitting movie and the female protagonist took a stand! Indian cinema is coming of age. Alternate cinema is here to stay. Hope this movie serves as an eye opener for the pseudo machos in society. Kudos to the cast and crew for this masterpiece.
