Spirit Monkey

I’m no expert writer so I’ll say it as best I can.. This is an amazing story telling / role playing game. It really does a great job of bringing the characters and environments to life. There’s lots of great story panel skits on the side bringing more personality and colour to the game. Arise tackles real world issues through the development of the characters and the trails they go through while also bringing much humour and compassion to the relationships the form together. The action is great and very well done, lots of choice and reminiscent to the original games. However the real beauty for me is held within the story telling of the game itself. Learning about the zones, cultures and interesting characters had me hooked from start to finish. Hands down the best story game I’ve played since the early Final Fantasy days.
