This show is struggling and I agree with the other reviews Tyler spends too much time on one scene, MOVE ON! You see this in EVERY sitcom he produces. I stopped watching If Loving You Is Wrong and The Haves and the Have Nots for this exact reason. I was really looking forward to the The Paynes returning and now I wished he would’ve left well enough alone, new shows are horrible! He has Curtis and Ella smoking a vap pen for at least 3 episodes, SMH. The best character next to Madea was Hattie Mae Love played by Mrs. Patrice Lovely on Love Thy Neighbor, my favorite Tyler Perry sitcom! I do enjoy watching Tyler Perry's Sistas and Bruh (BET+) but I also notice the same thing prolonged time spent on one scene/topic. I appreciate everything Tyler has done for the culture but he needs to be open to allowing others to help him on these sitcoms because if he doesn’t he’s going to lose a number of viewers.
