Just watched this movie again for the first time since the 80’s and I think nostalgia makes this movie seem better than it actually is. However the realness, chaoticness (not sure if that’s a word), imperfect performances and grittiness really make this movie a classic. Of course the unforgettable lunchroom scene and dancing in the streets take me right back to my childhood and dancing around the living room. I thought Debbie Allen was in the movie a lot more, but then realised that was the tv series. Anyway this is a must watch at least once in your lifetime.
