Well just finished season 4 and how upsetting. Never truly got into it but watched it on hoping it would improve. The revival of The Commandments was probably the best season of the lot, with 1 and 2 being unmemorable and the 4th after a weeks time joining them. Season 4 was as I felt the worst written. Ban was pretty much written out even though I would probably say he's one of the better written characters. Escanor who was introduced as a badass now is a side character and Merlin.....like is she powerful or is she not? Made to sound like this almighty mage but then gets trapped in a dream. The only thing I liked was Gowther's story but that was pretty much it on the characters. The power scale was all over the place and the fight scenes were dull and predictable.

Great show and insight into the environment and various animals. Some people are complaining that production isn't as good as the BBC series, but the same production studio has been used by Netflix for this series. Maybe slightly more polished and when it gets so polished it verges on the edge of looking like CGI, but it still is an amazing viewing experience. It was meant to be a more serious take on nature and wildlife, with a heavier message than the BBC's nature documentaries of late. You do get a sense of that straight off the bat but I didn't think it was overly pushy, rather just suggesting of finding a balance with nature. Overall message from this series like many of the others is quite simple....humans are trash ;)
