This is a terrible "story". In this "story," you meet God, god explains how the universe works, and that's all that happens. That's the entire story! And for some reason, God talks like some dude, and his logic is just weird and makes no sense. Why is this whole process necessary? Why does God act like this?
I get that you can handwave any weird things about God by saying that he works in mysterious ways that a mortal can't understand, but honestly, that's just lazy.
This story is basically an average r/writingprompts submission. My only other experience with Weir is when I watched The Martian's film adaptation, which I thought was okay; it pains me to see that Weir was in fact a much, much worse writer than I ever thought possible.
