Please play if you like lots of puzzles and turn based RPG gaming. Brilliant sound track. Funny voice acting. Developed fantasy setting. Plus options to skip puzzles and reduce difficult setting in game. I thoroughly enjoyed building a rag tag team of different characters, classes and skillls. Unfortunately the game was quite overwhelming at times. And the graphics are dated. Additionally despite appearances this is very much linear game.

The main story, the background, the environment and main characters are brilliant and truly original. If that was all one had to consider then this game would receive 5 stars. Unfortunately the game makers decided to turn this into a semi open world game. While i initially enjoyed the more open world aspects of the game in act one. I quickly found them to be repetitive and dull. I explored less in act two with no disappointment and explored almost not at all in act 3. If anything this greatly contributed towards my enjoyment of act 3. Because, if you disrupt the main emphasis of the game as little as possible, then you will without a shadow of a doubt enjoy a truly sensational game. Indulging in the areas of exploration away from the main plot line, in my opinion, just leads to a stagnant experience. So yes, please play this game. Just don't get caught up trying to unravel the game. Enjoy its main aspects. And forgot the rest. Also, the longer you play the game, the more the little bugs, glitches and wonky AI will start to undermine its positives.

Funny, interesting, engaging and addictive. A true successor to Fallout New Vagas. Arguably the best in the series.

I would recommend playing this game. I can't speak for what the game was like initially. I started playing the game in 2020. I've found the game to be thoroughly enjoyable and full of surprises. The game's weaknesses are more than offset by its strengths. If the next Mass Effect is set in the Andromeda galaxy, then i think it would have the potential to be a brilliant game because of the ground work laid in this game. I would also reiterate what other positive reviewers have mentioned. That is, try not to compare ME Andromeda with the original trilogy. Instead appreciate this beastie for what it is. This game is inspired by the original ME trilogy but is very much going in its own direction. I hope it gets a sequel.

I highly recommend this game for those who enjoy puzzle games. I do enjoy puzzle games. If you don't enjoy puzzle games, i would not recommend this game. As the challenge of the puzzles might not be sufficiently rewarded in the outcomes. If you're somewhere in between i would think carefully before committing. The four stars are for ep. 1 to 3. These are exceptional in terms of puzzles, plot, setting and characterisation.The game doesn't warrant the fifth star because ep. 4 and 5 are rushed and show a lot of unrealised potential and ambition. I can only presume the game developers ran out of time/ money etc. I would say the ending i experienced was satisfying. Particularly as my choices dictated the ending. But the journey to get there from ep. 1 to 3 and 4 -5 show clear imbalances that detract from the players final experiences.
