A classic movie of the 1940's, with a storyline all ages would enjoy watching. Matte filming softens the actors and settings and gives the viewer smooth flowing transition from scene to scene. Elizabeth Taylor and Mike Rooney''s portrayals humanize personal story of success and loss by both actors. Ms Taylor had the added gift, in that the The Pie was given to her as a birthday present after the filming of the movie was completed.
