This show grows on you! Stick it out through episode 4 and Country Comfort really starts to deliver. The kid cast is fabulous, all skilled musicians with charm, personality and great comic timing. The show showcases their talent nicely. Heartfelt, truthful performances make Country Comfort really sing- especially from Shiloh Verrico, the daughter most affected by the mother's death. The "dead mama" premise sets the show up for a slightly wonky start because dead mamas aren't really funny, but STAY WITH IT! And, if you live on a real farm, get ready to giggle at the pony on astroturf! It's a little cheesy, but what other live audience recorded sit com do you know that brings REAL PONIES on to their set? It's so much fun to watch! I appreciated the show's desire to acknowledge life on a working farm and truly enjoyed the farm-nod moments, like when one of the boys comes in from outside holding a basket of eggs. I see some reviews complaining that the show is cheesy, and they are not wrong, but it's fun cheesy! So go watch and enjoy! Netflix, make another season!
