as i write this, i have literally finished the last episode a few minutes ago.
this show is absolutely amazing. as a trans & gay teen, this is amazing representation not ONLY of gay relationships but of so many other things. this is probably that first time i've seen a show where they actually have skin texture, acne scars, scars in general. it's beautiful and amazing. the struggles wilhelm and simon go through are extremely realistic if you take away the fancy stuff; struggling with family pride vs sexuality, finding out that you aren't straight and the struggles that come with that. how relationships aren't perfect, romantic OR platonic. i especially like felice's relationship with her mother & sara's character overall. all of the characters have so, so much depth & they all have reasons for what they do even if it isn't GOOD. 10/10 for everything, and perfect casting. it feels very different from other things that netflix produces and it is AMAZING.
people leaving 1-star reviews are just homophobic & against normalising things like skin textures and realistic representation of teenagers. this show is truly amazing and we can all only wish for a season 2.
