I absolutely loved this movie. It is film-making at its finest - exquisitely structured storytelling, confident in its weaving together of different narratives, beautifully realised and played support characters, and magnetic leads. A very pleasant surprise.

Flawed, and there were a few points where I considered turning off, but I’m glad I stuck with it. The opening section convincingly builds up a family of characters I cared about, and although sometimes a little stretched, there were also times of real suspense. Atmospheric throughout (apart from the sheriff character, who seemed to have landed in from a different, and more poorly written, movie), and the final sequence showed this movie had more to it than I had first given it credit for. A low-budget movie but a superior one, worth a watch.
