I enjoyed the series. I had the stomach flu this week so I ended up binge-watching the series. I was rooting for Emily and Gabriel at first and then we found out he had a girlfriend. So I was pretty torn because it was obvious they had chemistry. I definitely think that she should have been honest with Camille. In the first place, she didn't initially know that Gabriel had a girlfriend and Gabriel led her on.
But, then Emily screwed up by kissing him again after she found out he had a girlfriend and continued to flirt with him. She made efforts to put distance between them, that Camille basically derailed. I don't know how Camille didn't notice that something was going on. Although, in the end, it seems like she may be clued in.
Then there is Mathieu who I don't think she has much chemistry with. He seems nice, but their relationship seemed a bit forced and convenient.
I get that Emily has been living the same life for so many years back in Chicago, but that doesn't give her the excuse to do what she does.
She agrees to go on a weekend with Mathieu and then sleeps with Gabriel. Yes, she thought he was leaving, but now he's not.
It's obvious that she likes Gabriel and if she wants to be with him then there are people who are going to get hurt. There really is no avoiding that. She probably will lose Camille as a friend and probably Mathieu as an ally/client.
I can't believe we have to wait another year to find out what happens.
