I found that this book is quite deeply written, with many layers to uncover and hidden themes throughout the book. While this just adds to the quality of the writing, it also makes it easy to become lost or confused. I found that reading each section in one uninterrupted period was easier for me then taking breaks and coming back to it, because it really does require your attention and thinking skills to not only understand the main plot of the story but the messages being communicated. Overall I found it an intellectual book that made you think in ways you wouldn't have otherwise. I read other reviews saying that this book wasn't interesting and didn't draw you in, and to a certain level I can relate to that, but I think that to entertain the reader wasn't the writers purpose, but rather to cause you to question our moral system and accepted definitions.
