Climate Change? Leinster's premises in this novel is the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere from human activity causing a different change to the planet.
Instead of early planet warming, the CO2 causes another carboniferous eon with plants growing wild and large, whilst humans need to adapt to the increased poisonous gas over 30,000 years mutating to the new condition, then global warming hits wiping out the major plants leading to further changes to the inhabitants of earth; animals, plants, fungus, insects - everything.
As the premise of a Sci-Fi novel, Leinster, in 1920, shows that this genre has once again foreseen and documented the future of humanity whilst telling a dramatic story.
Most enjoyable, insightful and entertaining.
