I think they missed the mark on this one. Somehow Tom Hanks, after having led a very small, untrusting life, learns to trust a robot that he created himself just doesn't bring one too much hope. Let alone the miserable, depressing world around him that he can't survive. Is it supposed to be a parable about COVID? If so,we're in a lot of trouble.
