When it comes down to DuckTales, clearly the NES 8 bit version is the master of it's domain and it will always be. Sure there's been the PC remaster but I find that version sometimes distracting with it's continuous dialog but I get it's supposed to be trying to emulate the show but it's very irritating when trying play the game. Without the NES version, there would be no Remaster so facts are facts here but it also shows how the game has come. If you must play Ducktales, go for the NES to experience just how this game is held in high regard then play the Remaster. Heck even try it on the Game Boy also. Done all you can to play it?! Then try ROM hacking to quality of life improvements also. DuckTales to me is what a great game it was on the NES kinda what SEGA's Micky Mouse's: Castle Of Illusion was to the early SEGA consoles also which also had a slightly good remake as well. These games mattered because it brought us as close as we could get to the cartoons, I was there in 1989 I saw I played and lived DuckTales in my now defunct mall 35 years ago. And I never even liked nor trusted Disney either as a kid.

A really good 90's platformer that has become more unique as time goes on here. I remember it being reviewed back in 1994 with some fairly lukewarm to positives reviews here. Boogerman didn't stand out that much because of the influx of platform games in the mid 90's (1994), it's biggest competition was of course Earthworm Jim and it felt like a clone with only the farts/burps that made it funny etc. Now some decades later when you play Boogerman, you really appreciate the amount of effort that's gone into the game. A sequel was supposed to happen in mid 2000's but it happened and in today's sadly now gaming political and PC game industry, a sequel will never ever happen now. Boogerman is a piece of digital playable art as well as being very funny, it belongs in 90's era of gaming but if you need a laugh, this game delivers all the way.....

Here's an early SMS game that I bought either in late 1989 or early 1990...My Hero to me was on one of the earliest beat em ups that I had got for my SMS2. It was certainly a budget title and it showed but for under $15 or $20, you can't complain too much here, it's no Double Dragon which was probably the best beat em up you could get at the time. I do have a certain soft spot for My Hero but I can understand if other people do not, after all it's full off dodgy collision detection, cheap 1-hit deaths and death traps that'll kill you in an instant with enemies that make no sense (pigs, remote control cars and frogs yes frogs?!!!). But it is an originally an arcade title as well and the SMS does very good job at duplicating the arcade game to some extent. The levels layouts also repeat themselves also. It's no wonder that I kinda chucked a gasket at the games cheapness at 10 lolz. Now at 46 I'm playing this godified and invincible and I like the game way more while exposes all it's flaws warts and all.

This is actually one those really good budget SMS titles here, when I got my SMS2 in late 1989 I had bought Wonder Boy 1 to accompany my Alex Kidd In Miracle World built in. Then though out 1990 I had bought many budget titles like Fantasy Zone, Ghost House, World GP and many more. Ninja was always there beckoning me to spend that $15/19.95 on it (thank god I didn't buy Aztec Adventure) but somehow I never did sigh. Well now I'm playing it hacked with infinity lives and it's still a tough/memorable game!!! One of the best budget titles that I regret not buying 34 years ago as a kid. GET IT!!!!!

Although I'd like to believe that in this genre's infancy with all of this "Band-Aid" concepts, atleast the 1980's stars/singers had some honourability in raising funds (they turned up, gave up their time, right after the emmy award?!!). The concepts from their on began to lose the steam as the decade rolled. They even tried that concept again in the mid 2000's but the public is alot more cynical and distrustful and saw right through it and didn't care etc. I'm curious to know how much of the funds got to those people back in 1985, back then people didn't question they naively trusted but it's different now regarding our stars etc. Still an interesting documentary though and regardless of my own cynicism, I still like this but after 40 years. Nothing has gotten better but more worse now......

I was just 7 years old when this series came out, obviously at age I couldn't appreciate as much as now when being an adult but at the time I still liked it. Now after some 40 years I've come back to it and even though I'm incredibly cynical and sarcastic after a hard life (especially during covid times), I still somehow still really like this series even more now?! Sure there's alot of cheese and it can be seriously corny at times to the point I couldn't even tolerate it but somehow with this show I still can if now not more now (perhaps because it's retro as well) and at times it can really touch some pretty hardcore topics that can still be hard to deal with regardless of medical technical advances etc. Highway To Heaven is an acquired taste as you'd have to have somewhat grown up with it back in the day to truly like and appreciate it. Newer generations beyond Gen Y/Millennials probably shouldn't bother as they're understand it?! Unlike Christian TV shows, HWTH doesn't at all feel preachy, condemning or unrealistic here, show encourages you to find your own thing/faith at your own time if you ever do find it and I'm a Catholic as well. Micheal Landon has a true genuine warmth that can't and will never be emulated either, it feels sincere as well. I could say we need more shows like this but is not the current 2023+ agenda of the world which darker than beyond belief here. I hear that there was some kind of 2021 version but I don't known?! Fantastic show/series, you don't find it as it finds you!!!.

I've never ever gone any further than R-Type Final on PS2 (still own the disc!) and I agree with the many other reviews once I put alot of thought into it. Yeah the hit points is suss and sometimes I have a real problem telling between foreground and background elements that might off killed me and that's more of a problem to me than being shot down or colliding into an enemy here. I never ever had that problem with the PS2 original or even R-Type Dimensions EX on pc, so why is this a problem on the current consoles or pc?! With the PS2 original when you died you knew it was your and only you're fault. With Final 2, many times it's between the foreground/background 3D elements shading sigh?! I hope they'll fix this with R-Type Final 3?! To tell you the truth I'm more excited about the Sega Megadrive/Genesis version of R-Type than any finals here. I would like to see the original PS2 R-Type Final or even Leo come out on the current consoles or windows OS to be honest here.....
