I thoroughly enjoyed the film and the dancing. Nureyev was a complex, arrogant, perfectionist. He knew how good he was as a dancer and expected others to understand that. He was also a little insecure about his beginnings and where he sat outside the world of ballet. This was all captured in The White Crow. I think any take on his life would be exceptionally difficult.
