I was pleasantly surprised with how good this movie was. I saw it once already, but I'll be going to see it one more time. The story is good, the acting is good, the humor is well-balanced, and it has a LOT of fan service. The best thing though is that the fan service was executed well and had a good reason to be there. This was better than most of the Marvel Phase 4 movies.

No spoilers - Guardians 3 was ok. Not great, not terrible, just bland and safe. The plot was ok, but the villains were extremely generic. Marvel has had this issue over the past couple few years. They don't know how to write compelling villains anymore. Now Marvel villains are just "guy in purple suit". The villain in this movie looked like he was wearing a repainted Vision costume. There was no artistic intent in the villain at all, not in the costume, and not in the character. The villain didn't have any real motive. He was just "bad guy #5". The story centered on Rocket's origin story, but oddly enough, even with Rocket being the central character of this film, he was barely in it and literally spent the entire movie unconscious. The runtime was about 45 minutes too long. The action scenes were repetitive and were just there to pad out the runtime. Action scenes are a good thing usually, but in this movie they went on for so long that I was getting bored and getting impatient waiting for the story to continue. Every time another action scene began, I started to roll my eyes because I knew it was going to take forever for the story to continue while the audience waited through the mind-numbing fight scenes. I own the first to Guardians movies in my collection, but I won't be buying this one. It's the same reason I never bought any of the Transformers movies. Fine to see once, but I have no reason to want to see any of this movie again unless I were to fast-forward through all of the fight scenes upon re-watching it.

I was excited to see this movie for weeks before it came out. Brendan Fraser is a masterclass in his own right and plays the character of Charlie very well. I was ready to be moved and experience an amazing drama. I was met with a film that delivered only some of that expectation. The rest is forgetable. There is a missionary character in this movie which is what I like to call "That Annoying Character We All Know". Much like Rob Schneider, Adam Sandler, or any goofy character from any Roland Emmerich movie, the missionary played by Ty Simkins, is annoying and is only there for comedy. He could have been fully edited out of this film, and it would have been 100 times better than what we got. It felt like a late addition to a dramatic story. The story is sad and dark, and it should have stayed that way. But in true Hollywood fashion, they had to ruin it by adding a comic relief character who is only there to annoy the audience. This movie would have been a 5/5 from me, but because of this annoying comedy character, it ruined the mood of the film and I can't give it any more than a 3/5.

It was interesting though they treated gravity like it's wind, so that took me out of it a little. Still had fun though!

DUNE is a very well-made movie. The sound effects, visuals, story, and acting is out of this world. I haven't enjoyed a movie this much since Lord of the Rings.

If you like stuff like The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits, this movie is for you. It's spooky and has genius writing. It's not what you think it is.

This one was your typical "bunch of people trapped in a small space" type movies, but at least movies like SAW and CUBE did it well. The mystery of those movies was spectacular. This felt very low budget, which is ok. Lots of low budget horror movies are great. But this one just felt hollow and is a waste of time. I can't understand why it has an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. It's boring, anticlimactic, and really on the nose. The movie is spoiled by the cover art, since that's as far as the movie goes. Basically all the movie means is this - We are brain washed by religion and television. That's the whole message. I hate preachy movies as much as I hate religion.
