A very well crafted "beat 'em up".
Right at the gate, I was very impressed by the beautiful fighting moves and the level design. I also enjoyed the music, story and characters.
This game focuses on its fighting mechanics, which is excellent. It will train you to get better. And it will test you. Fortunately, the game design is here to help: you can train and learn enemy patterns by resurrecting after they kill you, then restart the level to improve your death count. I found Sifu easier than Sekiro, and comparable in difficulty with Ashen.
If this is your first try on a game of this kind, consider the first few encounters against a new enemy as training sessions, where dying is simply part of the learning process. Once you know the moves of your opponents, you can start anticipating them.
I played the game for 40h, finishing it several times and having fun improving my runs through the levels.
