Outstanding game that is part of 'Stand and fight' genre rather than the dodge roll fighting genre. It looks fantastic, plays fantastic and even if you have a ps5 or pro, it's a significant upgrade on the right pc. I platinum it on ps5 and loving it on pc.

Incredibly refreshing ideas, brilliant co op, got every type of genre ever in gaming including run n gun, shmup, platformer, 2d 3d, insane physics, loads of easter eggs for young and old to spot (ecco the dolphin, Donkey kong barrels, and akira are present etc). It all runs at 60fps and if you are a fan of 'it takes 2' you will love it (except the difficulty is not as extreme at all). Its just a brilliant couch co op game. EA what's up ...a decent game for the first time in years...well done, more please.

You know i was just singing ps5 version praises that this was buttery smooth 60fps and looks great on ps5...just before i got to 'the cauldron' area. Where screen tear is terrible and the frame rate drops like a bomb below 30...for the entire area. I have owned this on wiiU, ps3, ps4, pc and now ps5...and don't get me wrong, an utterly brilliant dark old school zelda game, but omg, not one version on any platform has ever worked correctly the entire game. And asking for another £11 to upgrade to ps5 version, and for absolutely NO upgrade except for shadows (which i tested switching off the shadows in the cauldron area and it did not fix it, same result) and still having all these run issues years and years on, is frankly unacceptable. Even the pc version on a modern card runs like garbage. There is literally no 'deathinitive' version of the game out there..which is a little ironic considering the name of the title.

If the binding of isaac and slay the spire had a baby it would be this. In fact get this dev to make a binding of isaac card game, because he nailed this.

Right now, with gaming all about mtx, season passes, paid dlc, pay to play, pay to win, conversions of real money to fake ingame currency, and games that have a built in monetization mechanic rather than a gameplay mechanic, this is the air that is not polluted. This game with it's incredible procedural algorithm, its constant updates, it's focus on gaming, it's beautiful approach, it's scale, its ambition so large that no gaming rig is capable of achieving its dream yet, this universe in a box is utterly one of the most immense gaming experiences I have ever had in my 50 years on this planet. People that originally blasted this game because they wanted an Activision or Ea style of 'shooty shooty game like star wars' should never have picked this up. This game was niche, this game was true gaming, elevating itself over years, maturing like a fine wine. It is not insulting the players intelligence. It's not trying to be something it's not. It was not built for the Disney generation. It is a journey of not only the game itself, but the devs and the gamers sentient relationship. This game has been fully supported since its conception, and continues to be tirelessly supported. It is a masterpiece not only in concept but also in endurance, and love. This game is like a long term relationship. It is for life. Not all long term relationships suit all humans. If this is not for you, that's fine, but instead of ridicule that is not 'shooty enough' just keep walking. Death stranding, kojima's masterpiece suffered the same issues. There will always be a portion of gamers, usually young, who are still in the 'action film' period of their lives who think every game that's ever released is for their demographic only. That's life. That's just the way it is!

Yeh its good...hooked after episode 3 you can tell a good comedy...no canned laughter.

Some games come along that are the perfect blend of genre mashup and spades of gameplay and wonderful mechanics. This is one of them and has probably kickstarted a new 'FightFarm' genre all of its own...it gets a 7/10.. On the same day, a new release from tecmo with a certain link character, is a tired format, with the performance at sub 30fps, flat storyline, and aged janky gameplay..and it recieves 9\10 from ign. We are living in a corrupt gaming media industry..
