The show is very good and the accompanying narration of the actual detectives adds a great deal of authenticity.
However.
I have a very serious issue with one of the episodes titled 'Blood Brothers'. In the episode, (spoilers) one of the detectives is shot and murdered by the suspect of another murder he was investigating. In the episode, the killer Earl Foster jr, was depicted as white when the real Ear Foster jr was actually a black man.
I'm not against recasting fictional characters with different races but this is social pandering going too far. Ear Foster jr was a real man who murdered two very real people, one a cop.
How is this acceptable? Who greenlit this, thinking it was a good idea? Where will it end? This kind of protectionism is only going to make people angry (as it should).
