An average film with a lot of flaws, the most glaring is Ben Kingsley’s age in comparison to the real life Adolf .Eichmann Kingsley is 75 years old currently and Eichmann was only 54 years old when he was captured by Mossad agents in 1960. Kingsley is simply far too old to play Eichmann convincingly and the flashback scenes to Eichmann’s service as a SS Officer did not hide this age discrepancy very well. Also, it appears that the film took some historical liberties. For example, was Klauss Eichmann really a fanatical Nazi as portrayed in the movie? Also, was there really an organized Nazi cell group in Argentina that met openly like the film depicts? Did they really torture an Argentinian woman for information as depicted. Film makes some good points about the banality of Eichmann’s evil, but does not appear to be historically accurate. The dialog is very weak as well. I can only give this film two stars out of five due to the apparent historical revisionism depicted throughout the film.
