I recently finished reading the book this movie is based on. From the very first scene I was disappointed, they left out a huge plot detail. They left out the main thread that holds the monster killing children all over Russia and the most scary thing about the story, a system that makes life cheap and anybody could face death by suspicion a reality. This movie is truly one of the worst adaptations I have ever seen. I truly recommed the book wholeheartedly, don't waste your time with this movie.
