This movie is about an arranged marriage. Strangers, they move into a cubicle about the size of my closet which is one in a block of cubicles which serve as living room, dining room,kitchen and bedroom.This is a poor section of Mumbai. She does not know how to cook. She has no idea of what is expected of her as a wife.She becomes sick and cannot keep food down.She learns that what she needs is blood. People compliment her on her pale skin and ask what kind of whitening cream she uses. This is truly an unique movie, and unique understanding of what is a vampire. It is a slow paced movie with no blood and no jump scares.But, I enjoyed watching how the couple interacted with each other and the community.Watch this movie for the dialogue and acting skills.

I liked the movie. In the scene where the cuckoo pushes the other chicks out of the nest to put its own chick it, a child asks the teacher why this happens and she says it is just natures way. The bird doesn't even know she is feeding the wrong chick or that hers are dead. To me that is incredibly sad. This is something that happened though evolution, a thousand years of trial and error before it settled down to what it is. The end is where the movie began with a couple going into the real estate office to look at a house. I assume that a couple with a child would be directed elsewhere as the setup would not work. I have no idea what part the soundtrack plays in deciphering the movie but it must have been carefully chosen. Watch, listen and try to learn. There is a message.

I enjoyed this very much. I liked the characters and how they were developed. Since I have read all of Deborah Harkness's books I might have a better understanding of what is going on than those who haven't, by which I mean the fire witches and the water witches and such. It is unusual to see such witches. I am very curious about the Burned Ones and the demolition of their town. What were they exactly? Were they the ones who were killed? Why did they return to human form when they died? Why did someone say they had a cinder at their core that must be destroyed? I have the understanding that there is a season two. Will it be on Netflix?

I do not like Kirsten at all. She is someone who has no feelings and really believes that she should get what she wants when she wants it.
