Code Lyoko is one of the most fascinating animated series I have ever loved till this day. I still watch it and I don't care how old I am or will be, this show will always be my favourite. I really hoped that the producers or the inventor of the show would continue the story. Aelita never knew why her mother was kidnapped? Who are the kidnapers and why they did it and why they were enemies with Franz Hopper? Why Aelita's father created Lyoko and Xana to begin with? Was Xana really defeated? There is so much untold and as viewers, we would love to see more of the story, and the evolution of the technology as the characters grow and gain more experience. Code Lyoko Evolution was a failure because there is so much missing in the series. There may be some answers to the questions above but a lot of missing details. Other examples that are quite critical are the attacks of the specters, or Xana's dirty tricks and direct attacks on Earth and the characters. Also Sissi, Nicolas and Herb don't seem to be curious or involved in the series as much as the animated one. And since when Sissi was Blond??There were so many missing details such as the jokes between the warriors and their Frenemy Sissi and her gang of dorks, or Aelita's playing music, and Odd skating competitions or movies, and Yumi's and Ulrich's combat silat moves on Lyoko. The characters families too, they seem to be more involved in the animated series than the Evolution series. Another issue that I believe bothered most viewers is the presence of a strange girl who tried to take over Jeremy's place or compete with his genius and solve the warriors problems by using the super computer and her knowledge of quantum physics. Moreover, the way the factory was designed and the suers. Everything seems different in the evolution series, such as tracking the awakening of Xana using the digital sea wasn't enough to learn about Xana and the story of Aelita's parents. The weird virtual world that appeared after all the replicas were destroyed was odd too. Code Lyoko Evolution seemed to be unrelated to the original animated series with so many missing clues and concepts. How did the super computer and the virtual world evolve in the first place after the warriors defeated Xana in the original series? I wish there was a continuing of the original animated series with all the details mentioned above and more surprises that would wipe out Code Lyoko Evolution's messy plot.
