Watchmen comics is an absolute gold. I have read a lot of comics and watchmen is one of my favourites. I have watched the first eight episodes and hands down it is amazing. Reading both the comics "Watchmen" and "Doomsday clock"(till issue 11), I had very, very high expectations from the show. The show is set in the same world as the comics, a world filled with malice, hatred and racial discrimination which is not that different from the world that we live in(although without the masked vigilantes). Mostly, these high expectations were fulfilled by the very first episode which directly introduces the status of the world the characters are living in. I cannot say that this show is perfect, as there is no such thing as the perfect tv show (except breaking bad!) but this show has a really strong start and has a very high potential to be a really amazing show. Everything from the acting(especially Regina king and Tim Blake Nelson),the plot, the screenwriting and the directing is fabulous. Although the writer say that you don't need to read the comics to understand this show, i recommend that you do read then so that you have a really fun easter egg hunt while watching the show. The season finale is set to release today and I am pyched!!! I highly recommend this show to everyone. Alo did I tell you that Regina King play a total badass?
