The remake is laugh-out-loud fun for some of the things it portrays about Texas - everybody rides horses, there's no traffic in Austin, and you can get anywhere in no time flat. But what I like about the show is the effort to show how society has changed and still needs to change. The show is tackling more than cops and robbers - it's exploring consequences, too. I love that Walker's partner is a strong female character. I will keep watching.
