Way better than later sims games. I used to play sims 3 through all of my childhood, then came sims 4, I gave it a try and it wasn't nearly as good. After a while I decided to pick up sims 2 and OMG, it's sooooo good. Nowadays you need to patch it up a bit to avoid corruption and etc, but it still stands very welll on it's feet, animations are still very good and the looks are very nostalgic of the 2000's so even that is a plus.
