Using data for psychographic study of the people to the end of election campaigning and ads is quite acceptable. We're experiencing a digital revolution and any scientific progress towards newer methodologies for analysis is always welcome. Any resistance to and stifling of such evolution is unhealthy. But if this trend will achieve its end only by resorting to trickery and excessive manipulation of the so called "persuadables" it is dangerous. As in the case of so many digital platforms it's time for the "gods of silicon" to device tools in the form of a failsafe which should instantly fact check the contents wherever necessary and destroy them should they fail the test. Any inflammatory contents whether it is verbal or pictorial should never be allowed any space.This will prevent fake news from having a field day and playing havoc with the destiny of a nation and its subjects
