Incredibly touching yet complex. Meryl Streep is excellent, as always. Renee Zellweger's character is compelling. The Christmas scene is unforgettable and in my case, extremely emotional. I am a mother of two daughters, so I could deeply relate to the dynamics of those sometimes difficult relationships. I was also a caregiver for twelve years so those elements of the story hit very close to home. This movie might not be for everyone, but it's definitely worth a watch. It remains in my top ten list of must-see movies.

If you can suspend disbelief over the setup, you'll love it. If you can't, you'll miss a lot of fun and fuzzy feelings. One of my personal favorite feel-good movies.
