Nicely written: it has that spunk, humor, and tension that I absolutely adore. Although it follows the standard formula of pining second leads and evil in-laws and politicians, it's still something entirely different from the usual historical dramas from before. It's definitely a 5/5 for me, will probably rewatch it again after it finishes!

First off, Armsby needs to grow a pair. More importantly, this movie was perplexing. My mind keeps trying to understand that this wasn't fiction, that this really happened. This just proves how the slave labor system keeps bigots in the comfort of their beliefs. I can't wait read the actual book and throw daggers at Armsby all over again.

Includes spoilers: When the movie started and everyone started referring to him in the past tense, I already knew that boy was gone. But then he appeared and went in front of the camera for the personal interview. I cried straight up. Great movie.
