Typical Netflix, overlong series by at least 2 episodes, plot vaguely based on a decent crime novel but as series progresses it moves away from the original.
Coincidences in resolving the crime are unbelievable & the dialogue in some instances is pitiful - cut & paste a cliché - it depends on the episodes writer, who varies. As with a number of 'Netflix Originals', expletives are unimaginative, the F word being about as imaginative as it gets. The others could be equally at home in a religious broadcast.
On the plus side, the locations are a credit to the Location Scouts but that's about it. It's no wonder that as the episodes progress James Nesbitt looks more & more miserable. The final episode reveal is an absolute pile of poo. A fitting finale to a preceding pile of of the same. Cliché after cliché. 'Melancholy music playing' said the subtitles. A suitable funereal end for a deathly dire series. Shame on you Netflix.
