Excellent movie and real life depiction of how the disease bi-polar affects both the family and the individual. I know this was a work of fiction, but as someone with bi-polar in my family, it was wonderful to see this showing that even after someone is finally correctly diagnosed, it takes a lot of trial and error to get the proper treatment for the individual. The disease has such a large spectrum and each medication and therapy affects each person differently. It's so nice to see a movie portraying this disease without showing the violence (as in "mother drowns all four kids in the bathtub") that is very rarely involved but most publicized. Again, mental health problems being marginalized when such a large portion of the population has difficulty or knows someone that has some form of mental illness.
