It's a incredible effort by Tokyo RPG Factory to diversify their repertoire from turn-based combat to real-time action. The general mood and aesthetics from their previous games are kept intact. Not to mention their general delicate touch in customisation of character builds that complement the RPG genre. I'd say this is an incredible that game that is not merely a throwback to oldschool RPGs, but an actual beauty in itself. As long as you're the type of gamer who wants to explore the story, skill trees and characterisation in detail, you'll love this game.
